SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Board of Pardons and Parole has scheduled a 2043 parole hearing for a doctor convicted of killing his ex-wife.

The parole board told FOX 13 on Wednesday it has scheduled Johnny Brickman Wall’s parole hearing for April 2043. That will be the first time he will be able to ask for release from prison for the murder of Uta von Schwedler.

A jury convicted Wall back in March of murder. He was sentenced to 15-to-life in prison. Prosecutors accused him of drugging and drowning his ex-wife in a bathtub inside her home in 2011. Wall’s defense attorney has contended von Schwedler killed herself.
