WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah - Police need your help finding two suspects accused of breaking into a car dealership, sawing open the safe and trashing the place.
West Valley City police said two suspects broke into the dealership, which they have not named, on Oct. 25 at about 4 a.m.
Officials have just released the surveillance video which shows the alleged burglars using an electric saw to cut through the office safe.
But not before trashing the room and breaking the counter tops that gave them access to the safe.
Authorities said they got away with cash and checks.
And officers said the suspects were not in any hurry.
According to police, the suspects spent about 30 minutes inside, leading authorities to believe the burglars knew what they were doing.
“I don`t think the average person would know to go into an office like that and go right to that spot with the right tools to cut open that safe,” West Valley City Police Lt. Scott Buchanan said. “I think it`s likely they had some kind of knowledge; who knows how they came about that but all angles are being investigated.”
If you recognize the suspects or have any information about this burglary, West Valley City investigators said they would like to speak with you.
