SALT LAKE CITY — New campaign finance disclosures show Mayor Ralph Becker has spent $863,439 in his third-term bid, a significantly larger margin than his challenger, Jackie Biskupski.

Numbers posted by the Salt Lake City Recorder’s Office on Tuesday found Biskupski spent $536,420 on her campaign for mayor.

When it comes to raising money, Biskupski has brought in a sizable amount of cash — about $330,000 — since emerging as Becker’s challenger from the August primary. Since the last campaign finance disclosure deadline on Aug. 4, Becker has raised $174,358.

The mayor still has the larger campaign war chest — $676,618 — compared to Biskupski’s total funds raised at $620,978.

“We are very pleased with our efforts during this last filing period. Jackie has worked tirelessly to share her vision for Salt Lake City and those efforts paid off,” said Lindsay Barenz, Biskupski’s campaign manager, in an emailed statement.

Tuesday’s numbers are the last disclosures before the Nov. 3 election.

Campaign finance reports for Salt Lake City Council candidates show District 2 candidate Van Turner has raised and spent no money at all in his bid, compared to Andrew Johnston, who has raised about $6,800 and spent about $2,000. In District 6, Tracey Harty has raised $13,670 and spent $12,421 in her challenge to incumbent Charlie Luke, who reported raising $41,116 and spending $29,060.

In District 4, Derek Kitchen has raised $32,675 so far and spent $26,640 in his election bid, compared to Nate Salazar, who reported raising $21,957 in funds and spending $18,222.
