Teen has minor injuries after losing control, crashing into power pole in West Valley City

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – A teen is recovering after crashing her car into a power pole overnight.

Police said a 16-year-old girl lost control of her car and hit a power pole at 1:30 a.m., shearing the pole at the base near 6400 W. and 3600 S.

The girl was wearing her seat belt and had only minor injuries.

Authorities are now investigating what caused her to lose control of the car.

Rocky Mountain Power is working to repair the pole at this time.
