Identity of man accused of stealing $30,000 from vending machines released

SALT LAKE CITY – Authorities now know the name of the suspect they say has burglarized more than 40 vending machines in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Nevada.

Unified Police identified the suspect as 31-year-old Jimmy Jack Olsen.

They said Olsen has been breaking into the machines in front of grocery and department stores and stealing money from the safes inside.

Officers said he has stolen more than $30,000.
