Fugitive cold, hungry turns himself in Juab County
JUAB COUNTY, Utah — A fugitive turned himself in because he was cold, hungry and tired of being on the run, according to Juab County Sheriff’s Office Saturday.
Just after midnight, deputies were flagged down at 400 south while driving north on Main Street in Nephi, according to a Facebook post by Juab County Sheriff’s Office. A man, described in his 20s, told deputies he wanted to turn himself in.
The deputies discovered the man was wanted for a parole violation.
“The man said he was cold, hungry and tired of being on the run,” according to the sheriff’s office. “Deputies honored his request and took him into custody.”
The fugitive was not identified.
