What does a strong El Nino forecast mean for northern Utah’s ski season?

El Nino is an event that affects water temperatures over the equator in the Pacific Ocean.  This warmer water can generate stronger thunderstorms around the equator,  thus changing the weather patterns around the world.

Weather experts are forecasting a strong El Nino for the next few months. With El Nino impacting weather patterns across the country, what does this mean for Utah?  Could we expect more snow for this winter, or precipitation levels below average?  Meteorologist Brek Bolton searches for the answers among local researchers and experts, see the video above for his findings.
