NORTH CAROLINA– Hope for the best, prepare for the worst… or something like that. Last weekend, a man was popping the big question to his girlfriend in North Carolina but things didn’t go quite as planned.
As Matthew Picca got down on one knee to ask Kayla Harrity to spend the rest of her life with him, the unexpected happened.
Well, it’s not completely unlikely, but definitely unfortunate: the ring fell out of the box… and right into the ocean.
Understandably, Picca said he started freaking out. Strangers stepped in to help and after a couple hours, they were able to recover the ring.
Harrity said yes!
