(CNN) — Betty White will have some “Bones” to pick.

The seemingly ageless actress, who wrapped up “Hot in Cleveland” earlier this year, isn’t taking much of a rest. On Thursday she tweeted that she’ll be appearing on “Bones” this coming season.

“Wanted to let you know first that I will be joining the @BONESonFOX family for an upcoming episode this fall! #Bones,” she wrote.

According to TV Line’s Michael Ausiello, White, who’s 93, will be playing the show’s newest “squintern” (the nickname that Agent Booth, played by David Boreanaz, gives the interns). She’s older than the usual squintern, and she has the experience to match, according to Ausiello.

White’s character, Dr. Beth Mayer, is brought in to assist in a fantasy football murder case. She’s supposed to be “the world’s most experienced forensic anthropologist, which will lead to some serious competition with Emily Deschanel’s Brennan,” Ausiello writes.

The episode is scheduled to run in October. “Bones” will begin its 11th season next month. The show will have some plot strands to tie up: At the conclusion of last season, both Booth and Brennan were ready to move on from their jobs since it was unknown if the series would be renewed.
