Man facing charges in connection with more than 60 burglary cases

DAVIS COUNTY, Utah – Davis County authorities teamed up with several other agencies to close more than 60 cases relating to residential burglaries after police located stolen property while searching the home of a man who had his parole revoked.

According to the Davis County Sheriff’s Office, David Theobald will face charges in connection with numerous theft and burglary cases.

Theobald is a Clearfield resident who is on parole out of Utah, and he was in possession of stolen property while in Montana. The man’s parole agent revoked Theobald’s parole, sending the man back to prison on his original charge.

A search of Theobald’s residence revealed several stolen items that were matched to open cases in Davis County. Theobald will face charges of theft, burglary and fraud.

Authorities say anyone in the West Point and Clinton areas who have been victims of theft should contact  local law enforcement about identifying and recovering their stolen items.
