SALT LAKE CITY — Deputy Chief Krista Dunn of the Salt Lake City Police Department has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
Dunn handles grants for the department’s administrative bureau and is not a sworn officer.

The reason for Dunn’s leave was not disclosed.
Interim Chief Mike Brown released the following statement:
“The Salt Lake City Police Department has placed Deputy Chief Krista Dunn on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation. The police department takes allegations of misconduct very seriously. And consistent with the department’s administrative practices regarding this type of allegation, she has been placed on leave pending the conclusion of the investigation.”
