SALT LAKE CITY — Chevron settled a lawsuit with homeowners over an oil spill in Red Butte Creek that occurred back in 2010.

FOX 13 News learned the plaintiffs in the case reached a settlement, but the details will not be released.

A Chevron pipeline leaked twice, spilling more than 50,000 gallons of crude into Red Butte Creek and the backyards of residents along the creek.

Sixty-six people filed suit, and they sought tens of millions of dollars for the effects of the spills.

The only remaining claims are counterclaims and cross claims filed by Chevron and Pacificorp against each other.
