Homemade Marina Sauce (07.17.15)

Makes 1/2 Gallon


  • In 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1/8 C Chopped Garlic
  • 1/2 jalapeno-small, diced
  • 3 Large Onions-Chopped
  • 1 Large can of diced tomatoes
  • I Large can of diced Stewed/Italian tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/8 C Italian Spice
  • Salt and Pepper to taste


  • Sauté in ½ Cup olive oil–garlic, onions, and jalapeno
  • In a large pot combine the sauté above and add:
  • 1 Large Can of Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 Large Can of Diced, Stewed/Italian Tomatoes
  • (Can Use Fresh Tomatoes As Well)
  • Add 1/8 Cup Italian Spice
  • Add brown sugar
  • Salt and Pepper to taste.

Cook all day on simmer – approximately 8 hrs.
