SALT LAKE CITY – Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating an arson suspect and a person of interest in connection with a fire that occurred at a Salt Lake City home last Friday.

Three people were at home when a fire broke out at 1135 West Arapahoe Avenue (655 South) July 10 and all made it safely outside, but two cats had to be rescued and given oxygen by firefighters. The home sustained severe damage to the backside of the home as well as the attic.

Wednesday, officials stated they are seeking 30-year-old Apollo Adams as a suspect in the fire. According to a press release from Unified Fire Authority, Adams had rented a room at the home prior to a recent eviction and was seen near the back of the home “moments before the fire started.”

Adams was last seen driving a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Mercury. He is known to frequent the Glendale area, Salt Lake City and parts of Magna.

Police are also seeking a person of interest in the case, 30-year-old Alicia Green, who authorities believe may have knowledge of Adams’ whereabouts and actions. She is known to frequent West Valley City and Ogden.

Anyone who sees either Adams or Green or who has information about them or their whereabouts is asked to call Salt Lake City Fire Investigators at 801-799-4107.
