1 person, 2 dogs displaced after Magna house fire

MAGNA, Utah — A person and two dogs were displaced after a fire damaged a Magna home early Sunday morning.

Fire crews responded to the 2800 South block of 9050 West just after midnight. Fire officials say the blaze likely started in the kitchen. The exact cause is still under investigation.

The resident and dogs were able to get out of the house safely. They are receiving assistance from the Utah Red Cross until they’re able to move back into the home.

Fire officials say the blaze caused about $100,000 in damages.
