Stolen tools recovered in Duchesne, Wasatch Counties; 1 person in custody

DUCHESNE COUNTY, Utah — Several construction style tools were recovered, Saturday, during a joint investigation with Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office and the Heber Police Department.

The tools are believed to be stolen from around the Uintah Basin and Wasatch Back areas, according to a Facebook post from Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office.

One person was taken into custody connected to the thefts. The suspect’s name is being withheld due to the ongoing investigation, the Facebook post indicates.

Investigators at Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in finding the owners of the recovered tools. Anyone with questions or information related to the case is asked to call Det. John Crowley at 435-738-1127 or email at jcrowley@duchesne.utah.gov.
