Have you heard of it? The “Charlie Charlie Challenge” is the latest craze hitting social media and it involves summoning a Mexican demon.

In the game, which is a mix of “Bloody Mary” and Ouija, players balance two pencils on a sheet of paper in a cross formation and write “yes” and “no” in opposite corners.

Then participants attempt to summon the demon by asking, “Charlie, Charlie, are you here?”

After the chant, they wait to see if the pencils move towards the “yes” or “no,” which they often do, thanks more to gravity than “Charlie.”

In most of the videos online, the movement sends people running and screaming in disbelief.

Then “yes” and “no” are erased from the corners and questions for “Charlie” to answer and written in.

So who is Charlie?

According to the internet, “Charlie” is actually a group of Mexican demons.
