Snow plows out in Monte Cristo clearing roads for summer

MONTE CRISTO, Utah - The Monte Cristo snow plows are back in action.

It may be spring in the valley but the Utah Department of Transportation has crews out plowing in the mountains.

Crews working to remove thousands of tons of snow from the Monte Cristo summit in Weber County.

The 19-mile stretch of State Route 39 is closed every winter.

The road opens in the summer as an important route from Evanston to Ogden.
