SALT LAKE CITY -- At least one graduate of Weber State University doesn't have to worry about the job market. Damian Lillard will make about $4 million this year, not counting endorsement deals.

He's the all-star point guard for the Portland Trailblazers.

The rest of Friday's graduates at commencement ceremonies at Weber State and Southern Utah University should be just fine as well, as the job outlook is better than it's been since the great recession began in 2008.

"Students are actually pretty confidant about the job market," said Mike Caldwell, Director of Career Services at Westminster College in Salt Lake City.

Caldwell said the top industries hiring along the Wasatch Front are technology and finance.
