SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — The Recycling Coalition of Utah celebrated Earth Day Saturday by teaming up with a variety of groups to offer recycling services for free.

An event held at a Harmons grocery store, 10507 South Redwood Road in South Jordan, brought together different companies from all over the state, and they were there taking in recyclable materials from paper to mattresses to dryers.

“Recycling is a big, it’s a big employer in the state of Utah,” said Brad Mertz of the Recycling Coalition of Utah. “So there’s a lot of businesses that want the material. So you’d be surprised that you can recycle your glass, your tires, your batteries, your computers, your TVs—all these things are available here in Utah.”
