I had a busy week with out of town family stuff. My nephew Caleb and his new wife Sarah were married in Las Vegas, and it was a fun time to meet new family members. Just remember, don’t leave your phone unattended–my niece Naomi hacked my phone and took selfies, but she’s a cutie so it’s all good.
Serving as the MC for the Miss USU Pageant (Congrats to Rachel Hilton) was a highlight this week. The evening’s theme was “This Is Me”, which definitely resonated with me as I have been able to learn from my journey #LosingForLife. And not so much for the end result–losing 157 pounds is great, but I have also learned many lessons from the journey getting to that weight loss that will help me and hopefully my family along the way.
I am going to New York this weekend and cannot wait to see how I do with all of the walking. The last time I was there was in October, 2012–when I was at my heaviest weight of 450 pounds, and I had to stop every 10 minutes to sit down for a break. Thanks to one and all for the support and motivation as I’ve worked to make these changes.
