WEBER COUNTY, Utah — Officials have identified a man crushed to death while moving a trailer home in Farr West Monday afternoon.

Findlay said they were maneuvering some jacks when somehow the weight of home shifted, causing it to fall on Ronald Lee Macknight of Riverdale.

It’s believed Macknight was killed instantaneously, Findlay said.

Medical crews arrived and were able to move the trailer off of Macknight, confirming he was dead on scene.

Findlay said it is a tragic accident.

“It’s a family-owned company, there were several family members on scene – very emotional and sad to see something like this happen,” Findlay said.

Investigators don’t know the exact cause as to why the trailer shifted. It’s under investigation.

A memorial fund has been set up at American First Credit Union called the Ron Macknight Memorial Fund.
