Police investigating drive-by shooting after gunshots fired at SLC home

SALT LAKE CITY – Authorities are investigating a drive-by shooting in a Salt Lake neighborhood near 200 E. and 1500 S.

Police were a few blocks away at a traffic stop when they heard about five gunshots at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers said they found shell casings in an alley and about five bullet holes in a home’s wall.

According to officers, the family has no gang ties and doesn’t know who fired the shots.

Officials are investigating to find who fired at the home.
