NORTHERN UTAH -- A search for a missing fisherman at Willard Bay Monday was called off for about 30 minutes as a thunderstorm passed the area.

As of about 3:25 p.m., search boats were preparing to enter the bay to resume the search that started Sunday night. The search will continue until another storm hits or until dark.

A severe weather statement was reported by the National Weather Service Monday indicating thunderstorms, heavy rain and wind along Interstate 15 in northern Utah.

The storm is pushing east at about 30 mph and is now moving into the mountains, according to a special report from Brett Benson, FOX 13’s head meteorologist.

Brett will have more on this weather report during Live at 5.

FOX 13’s Annie Cutler and Aaron Kimbell are on scene at Willard Bay and will also provide an update on the search for the missing fisherman during the Live at 5 newscast.
