Snowy weather forces closure of several schools in San Juan County

SAN JUAN COUNTY, Utah – Snowy weather is forcing school closures in San Juan County.

San Juan County Emergency Management posted on their Facebook page Sunday that road conditions are forcing closure of several schools.

The post says schools in the Monument Valley area (Monument Valley High School and Tse’bii’nidzisgai Elementary School) will be closed until after Spring Break on March 16.

There will be no school in Bluff or Montezuma Creek (Whitehorse High School and Montezuma Creek Elementary School) on Monday and Tuesday, March 2 and 3.

Other schools in the San Juan School District will remain open.
