Watch: Aerial drone heads into traffic, and the hits just keep on coming

In this video posted by Panorama Magazine on Facebook, an unmanned aerial drone heads into rush hour traffic–where things take a turn for the worse. The camera holds up surprisingly well, staying active as vehicles hit the drone, and it even keeps running after one car drags it along the road. See the video above for the footage.

I own a small drone and camera and I would NEVER fly the drone near traffic or over people. It is VERY easy to lose control of a drone and crash it. This clown who purposely flew his drone into freeway traffic should be jailed. A drone falling from the sky and landing on a car windshield traveling 70 MPH could cause a huge freeway wreck with subsequent injuries and possible fatalities.

Reckless and irresponsible. I hope he’s prosecuted.

And they are NOT drones! Drones are autonomous, by definition. It’s a radio controlled toy helicopter with a camera on it.

Distractions are bad enough while driving. Especially in traffic. Now we have this added to the list. I believe it is not needed or wanted except by the operator. If I see a “drone” watching me or distracting me in traffic, I may just have to use a small transmitter I have.
