Imprisoned FLDS bishop Frederick Merril Jessop will be paroled from prison in a few months after serving time for performing a marriage ceremony involving his 12-year-old daughter and polygamist leader Warren Jeffs.

The Texas Board of Pardons and Parole told FOX 13 on Wednesday that Jessop was granted parole on Jan. 29. After he completes paperwork that is approved, he would be released from a prison in Huntsville, Texas, in 2-3 months.

Jessop was convicted in Texas of conducting a ceremony prohibited by law. He married his daughter to FLDS leader Warren Jeffs, who is currently serving a life sentence for child sex assault related to underage “marriages.” Jessop and Jeffs are among a dozen FLDS men to be charged stemming from a 2008 raid on the Utah-based polygamous church’s compound in Eldorado, Texas.
