Sausage, Egg and Cheese Sliders (02.06.15)
- 1 lb. ground sausage
- 12 small rolls
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 12 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons milk
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Red onion slices
- Hot Sauce
- Tomato slices
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Season sausage with salt and pepper. Form 12 small sausage patties. Cook in a non-stick pan for 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked all the way through.
In the meantime, cut the rolls in half and lay on a baking sheet. Sprinkle some of the cheese on each one. Bake for 3-4 minutes until cheese melts.
In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Melt butter in a large frying pan. Cook the eggs, stirring frequently, are set and begin to become firm. Keep warm.
For each slider, place a sausage patty onto bun bottom; top with some of the egg scramble. Serve with preferred toppings.
