Crews help injured snowmobiler in Wasatch County

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah – EMS and Search and Rescue crews responded to the e scene of a snowmobile crash that left a man injured in the Pole Line Pass Area of Wasatch County Saturday, and crews were able to reach the man and help him get out of the area safely.

According to a press release from the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, officials received a 911 call about an injured snowmobiler at about 4 p.m. The caller stated that he and five friends were snowmobiling in the area when a 57-year-old man fell off of a snowmobile. The man was believed to have broken his arm, and he has several “moderate facial lacerations.”

Later Saturday evening, a dispatch official with the sheriff’s office confirmed to FOX 13 News that crews had reached the man and got him out of the area safely. The official said the man was “doing good” but did not provide specific details about the injuries.

Officials with Utah State Parks are investigating the accident, and the sheriff’s office was providing support to the responding agencies, according to the press release.
