Woman puts suspect in headlock for allegedly trying to rob SLC eatery

SALT LAKE CITY – Police are searching for a suspect being called “pink pants” after he allegedly tried to steal cash from a local fast food restaurant.

Salt Lake City officials said a man, wearing pink or purple jeans, placed an order at Wendy’s near 1100 S. 300 W. Tuesday and when the cashier opened the register, he jumped the counter and took a handful of cash.

Authorities said the female cashier and the suspect got into a scuffle which ended with her holding the suspect in a headlock.

Salt Lake City Police said, at the point, the suspect “lost his zeal to follow through” and ran from the restaurant.

Officials said the suspect is a Caucasian man in his early twenties who is about 5’8″ with a thin build.

The suspect has brown hair, a full beard and was last seen wearing a camo zip-up hoodie, black beanie and pink or purple Levis.
