SALT LAKE CITY -- New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are often times of reflection and resolutions for many people.

Many of us do that from the comfort of a warm home with food, family and friends. But for those who are homeless, things might not look so bright and that’s where the Salt Lake City Mission steps in.

For more than two decades, the Christian Life Center, 1055 N. Redwood Road, has opened its doors to those in need.

While many services are closed Thursday, the Salt Lake City Mission, next to the Christian Life Center, will offer food, warm drinks, blankets, clothes and a safe environment on New Year's Day.

The mission will be open until 4 p.m.

Those at the Salt Lake City Mission hope individuals will take advantage of their services in the future to make bigger changes in their lives.
