OGDEN, Utah — A Christmas mystery has been solved and two Ogden boys couldn’t be happier.

On Wednesday afternoon, Ogden resident Marlene Long found two bags of gifts and toys at her doorstep, but the names on the packages didn’t match up with anyone in her household.

Long drove around her neighborhood looking for “Thomas” and “Mickey” – the names from the “To:” tags on the gifts – but she was unsuccessful in finding them.

That’s when Long contacted local news media, including FOX 13 News, to ask for assistance in finding the rightful recipients.

Long said someone heard about the mixup and contacted her to provide the correct address. It turns out Long’s home is made of brick, sits on a corner property and has a large porch – just like the home the presents were meant for.

Long personally delivered the gifts to the boys, ages seven and eight, and told them Santa had accidentally delivered them to the wrong house. She said the boys’ faces lit up like Christmas trees.
