This week has been a crazy week full of basketball, a doctor visit, my first ever massage, studio time and choir performances.
I recorded some updated radio spots for the #LosingForLife journey that I started back in 2013, and the reason why I am writing this blog.
I had a “Slow your roll” reality check at my son’s wrestling practice when I attempted a back bridge and felt a sharp kink on the left side of my neck. Long story short, I have had a burning pain and numbness in my left arm ever since. Prognosis? Two herniated discs.
I decided to go in to Massage Envy in Draper and have my neck worked on. It was amazing for my neck and shoulder but did little for my pinched nerve. Anyway, I am just hoping my body heals quickly.
Needless to say, I am having to be selective with my activities. Our choir, the Amanaki Choir, has started performing, and we have two more performances left–which you are all invited to attend free of charge. See the flyer in the photo gallery above for the dates and other details.
The Jordan High School Girls Basketball program is doing well. For the Freshman, we are 0-2, undefeated in Sophmores, 3-3 in JV and 6-1 in Varsity( I hope I don’t jinx us). I am having a great time coaching with my fellow coaches and seeing the girls improve each week.
Thanks again to all who helped me get this new life. Sometimes I feel like it is a climb up a long flight of stairs, but it is worth it.
