WEST VALLEY CITY -- It's the 72-hour countdown to Black Friday but shoppers beware: financial experts warn if you don't have a plan, prepare to miss out.
FOX 13 decided to look at the best money saving deals.
Financial experts say the only way to really score a steal is to get in and get out -- that means planning ahead.
"You want to use the app like the deal hunter so you can see who's getting the best possible prices," said financial guru Vera Gibbons of www.mint.com.
You also want a strategy, to establish a budget and compare prices using apps like Deal Hunter. Once you identify the good deals, make a list.
With 1,700 retailers to choose from, there's a lot to sift through. FOX 13 took out the guess work and found the best bargains around.
"TVs -- really good prices on TVs and these are name brand TVs, Best Buy has a 50-inch Panasonic for example for $199," Gibbons said.
From big ticket items like TVs to laptops, Staples will have a door buster Asus Intel laptop for under $100 at $199.
"The mainstream ones are going for $650 according to deal news, but budget ones very attractive prices and for tablets, I would go to KMART because they have some of the best prices around," Gibbons said.
Retailers like Best Buy, Target, Walmart and Sam's Club have discounted Apple products. If you're looking for a new vacuum, Walmart is selling a Dyson for $199.
Other tips include using credit cards with cash rewards.
Even better deals will come your way on Cyber Monday, online and in stores. Experts predict storewide savings of about 40-50 percent off, so that's double on the savings.
