WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – This little girl is Adilynn Renee. She was born premature, weighing less than a pound and about the size of a cell phone.
“I never imagined her to be that small, it took me by surprise,” mom Chelsea Gregory told WGHP. “It really scared me. I was like, ‘How is she going to make it?’”
Now Adilynn is 4 months old and four whole pounds but she is still in serious trouble.
She has had pneumonia twice and a blood infection.
Gregory said, ” “Its making her heart work extra hard, her heart is trying to give out on her so they are having to give her medicine for it. Tons of medicines.”
She is on life support.
Adilynn’s mother said she is so thankful for their family, friends and everyone supporting them.
“It means more than the world to us because right now we are in desperate need of prayers,” Gregory said. “Honestly, there’s nothing more in this world that means more than just one person praying.”
Adilynn was one of the smallest babies ever born at Forsyth Medical Center in North Carolina.
