UTAH — The Department of Wildlife Resources began releasing pheasants Wednesday for the state’s annual November hunt.
The hunt runs November 1-16, and more than 11,000 birds will be released in 56 wildlife management areas, a spokesperson for the DWR said.

The DWR will release pheasants before each weekend of the hunt, with the exception of the Thanksgiving holiday, for which they plan to release extra birds earlier in the week.
