DAGGETT COUNTY, Utah – Law enforcement officials are puzzled due to the recent deaths of three young cows found in Manila, which is in Daggett County.

The cows died during the last two weeks, and the cause of death is unknown, according to a press release from the Daggett County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said a similar thing happened around this same time last year, with two cows dying at that time. They said all of the cows were mutilated in some way, which they said leads them to believe there is foul play involved. The mutilation occurred after the cows had died, according to the press release.

Anyone with information about the deaths or who has noticed anything suspicious is asked to contact the Daggett County Sheriff’s Office at 435-784-3255 or at 435-789-4222. All tips will be kept confidential.
