Three cheers for Alderwood Gallery for this well conceived display and celebration of the artists of the Great Salt Lake. The Alfred Lambourne Prize is a marvelous idea and one in which members of his immediate family can take true pride and appreciation. After many decades of near anonymity after his death, it has been wonderful to see the Utah art community recognize “Grand” as he was called by his grandchildren, for his talent and his love of natural and wild places. Your efforts to establish and publicize the artistic and wilderness trail blazing accomplishments of our predecessor are widely and positively received. JWL
