SALT LAKE CITY -- Lily is 4 years old and so full of energy that you might be surprised to learn she is unwell.

But despite her outward enthusiasm, Lily is in need of a kidney transplant. She and her family are at the Ronald McDonald House in Salt Lake City, where they spoke with FOX 13 News' Hope Woodside about the need for organ donors.

Honestly I wish I didnt have Polycystic Kidney Disease or I would get tested to see if I could give her a kidney. I wish her the best and hope she gets a kidney soon.

Lilly is an amazing young lady. Even with all of the issues she has, she lights up a room when you meet her. Thanks for sharing her story!

She is such a sweet littile girl. It just doesn’t seem right that someone so young should need dialysis and deal with organ failure. If you haven’t signed up as an organ donor, please consider doing so. The gift of life means so much, not only to the recipient, but to everyone in that person’s life.

Organ donation saved my daughters life! Thanks Fox News for sharing the importance and the need for organ donors! There needs to be more of these types of stories in the media to spread awareness!

any awareness for organ donation is great. My daughter is currently on the waiting list for a liver. It’s frustrating to wait and to know that her life being saved means someone else losing a loved one, but it’s equally as senseless that 2 people pass away when an organ donation could give one of them a second chance. Thank you for shedding more light on this subject.

What a touching story. Let’s hope that by getting the word out this precious little girl will get the kidney that she needs.
