SALT LAKE CITY -- A place where The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints showcases its early years is getting an updated look.

The Church History Museum is closing its doors for a year to renovate the building and bring in a new exhibit they hope will attract younger crowds.

The museum will close their doors October 6, and the new exhibit will feature new kiosks, interactive maps and other advancements to supplement the historical artifacts in the museum's collection.

The museum is expected to open again in the fall of 2015, visit their website for additional information.
