PROVO, Utah — BYU maintains its quest for a perfect season after scoring four 2nd half touchdowns against Virginia.

However, unlike previous routes on the road in weeks 1 and 2, this one didn’t come easy at home. The Cougars trailed at the half for the first time all season after giving up an early Greyson Lambert touchdown run and three Virginia field goals.

But the capacity crowd at Lavell Edwards Stadium soon came to life after Brigham Young took the lead for the first time in the 3rd quarter. Taysom Hill skipped home 15 yards to lift the Y up 20-16. Jamaal Williams also found the end-zone in the 3rd.

Virginia hung around within striking distance throughout the 4th, but they could never quite catch the Cougars. The dagger came after Adam Hine took a kick 99 yards for a 41-26 lead with just under 8 minutes remaining.

The Cavaliers answered with a score with 1:48 left, though the Cougars pounced on the onside to seal the 41-33 victory. BYU improves to 4-0, and Virginia failed to knock off the 21st ranked team in the country for the 2nd consecutive week. The Cavs upset Louisville last Saturday.
