SPANISH FORK CANYON, Utah — Photos released Wednesday show a young bear that officials from the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources trapped and removed from Spanish Fork Canyon.

The DWR was notified about the bear, on Friday. The bear had been wandering around the River Park area for days, possibly weeks, officials said.

“We were able to trap, mark and relocate the young bear. (We marked the bear so that we can identify him, should he find his way back to the area.) Success!,” a posting on the DWR’s Facebook page said.
