TOOELE COUNTY, Utah – A woman suffered minor injuries, but she was flown to a hospital Sunday due to the remoteness of the area where here vehicle crashed.

Lawrence Hopper of the Utah Department of Public Safety said a 28-year-old woman was driving westbound on I-80 in Tooele County when the tire on the front left of the car blew out.

The woman lost control of the vehicle, which then crossed the median and traveled through eastbound lanes before moving off of the freeway and coming to a stop about 100 feet from the road.

Hopper said the woman suffered minor injuries, but she was transported to a hospital via helicopter because of the remote area where the crash occurred.
