Car accident in Willard leaves 2 people dead

BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah — Two people are dead after the vehicle they were traveling in was broadsided by a truck in Willard Saturday evening.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., Willard City police say a 15-year-old boy from Salt Lake County and a 66-year-old woman from Box Elder County were driving in the area of 750 North and Main Street when they were hit by the truck.

The teen and the woman pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the truck was taken to Brigham City hospital for minor injuries and was later released.

Multiple police agencies and the Box Elder County Attorney’s Office are currently investigating the accident.
