BILOXI, Miss. – A truck driver is being called a hero after he jumped into action to save a grandmother and her 1-year-old granddaughter involved in a horrific crash.

David Fredericksen had a dashcam rolling when a car slammed into a semi-truck along I-10 near Biloxi, Mississippi.

The car immediately burst into flames as other drivers slammed on the brakes to avoid another crash.

In the video, which has an incorrect time stamp, you can hear Fredericksen contemplating what to do next.

He immediately jumps out of his truck with a fire extinguisher and heads to the car.

After several other witnesses jumped in to help, they were able to pull the driver to safety.

Fredericksen’s son posted the video to YouTube Aug. 17 and said everyone survived the accident.
