SLC announces new initiative to help homeless, monitor Pioneer Park neighborhood

Salt Lake City has instilled a number of significant changes as well as created new initiatives aimed at providing expanded services and permanent housing for the homeless in Pioneer Park and the surrounding neighborhood.

On Tuesday, Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker, Police Chief Chris Burbank and other community partners gathered to talk about plans for the future of the area.

Liz Buehler, Salt Lake City homeless services coordinator, appeared on FOX 13's Live at Four to talk about those plans.
