Police: Two suspects invade and rob Salt Lake home

SALT LAKE CITY — Police are searching for two suspects who they said broke into a home on the west side of Salt Lake City Wednesday morning and held the man inside at gunpoint.

According to a statement from SLCPD, the homeowner at 1400 W. Glenrose Drive was sleeping in the back bedroom of the house when he heard at knock at the door.

Police said the victim thought a family member knocked on the door, so he opened it and the two suspects, a male and a female, forced their way in.

The duo escaped with the victim’s wallet, cell phone, and cash after striking him in the back of the head with the gun, the statement said.

Police described the female suspect as Hispanic, approximately 30 years old with black and blonde hair, and wearing black jeans with an army-type shirt.

The male suspect was described as white, between 16 and 18 years old with short blonde hair, and wearing a black shirt, black gloves, and Levis.
