NORTH SALT LAKE, Utah - One North Salt Lake family has lost its home to a landslide and other homes are in jeopardy.

No one was injured but the family is now without a place to live.

Friends, family and complete strangers are reaching out to the Utrilla family and their loved ones during this difficult time.

Now the Utrilla family is thanking all those who have helped.

Statement from David and Krista Utrilla:

We are very thankful to those who have expressed concern about this tragedy that has occurred. We are grateful that, although the 12 members of our extended family that were living there lost everything that they owned, none of their lives were lost. We wish to thank the Red Cross for their assistance, our family’s wonderful friends and neighbors and the members of the LDS Church for their support and donations of food and clothing, and to Sky Properties for giving them temporary living accommodations.

To accommodate those who have asked, we have opened an account under the name Utrilla Family Relief Fund for monetary donations that can be accessed by calling or going to any America First Credit Union.
