Mitt Romney, the former Governor of Massachusetts, shared photos of a family tradition online.

He, his wife Ann, and their loved ones took a family vacation across the American West.

Romney said they took 5 of their 22 grandchildren, ranging in age from 10 to 13, on a trek that became tradition after his grandparents started it years ago.

He said in his post on Medium.com, “We visited Goblin Valley, Spooky Gulch, Peekaboo Slot Canyon, Capitol Reef National Park, Bryce National Park, Zion National Park, Lake Powell, Rainbow Arch, Grand Canyon, and the four falls in the Havasupai Reservation. All totaled, we hiked over 50 miles: quite a feat for the young—and for Ann and me.”
