2 injured in rollover crash on I-84

MORGAN, Utah – A woman suffered serious injuries and a man had minor injuries after a rollover accident on I-84 Saturday.

According to information from Utah High Patrol officials, the crash occurred around 1 p.m. on I-84 near mile marker 106 when a Fork pickup truck went off the side of the road, overcorrected across the median and rolled twice.

The vehicle struck a cable barrier after it rolled, and a female passenger was ejected. The woman was transported in serious condition with scrapes and a head injury. The woman was conscious and breathing when she was transported to McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. The 54-year-old male who was driving the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was taken to Ogden Regional Medical Center.

Eastbound lanes of the road were closed for about 15 minutes as a helicopter landed at the scene.

The names of the victims have not been released.
